Dickies pants and workwear clothing has stood the test of time. Heavy durability combined with a modern comfortable fit inadvertantly provides the requirements that skateboarders need.
Dickies trousers are perfect for skateboarding. Having been a US workwear staple for generations, the quality and durability are in no doubt. Dickies make a range of clothing aside from pants including shorts, jackets, shirts and cargo pants. Dickies pants are available in a range of fits and many colours.
Dickies have an ability to endure days and weeks on the streets and not only hold up functionally-wise, but don't appear to be dirty. This is due to a stain resistant material that a lot of Dickies trousers feature alongside reinforced stitching in certain areas giving zero blowouts.
Skateboarders tend to flock towards four fits of Dickies pants, namely the Dickies 803, 872, 873 and 874. The 803 and 872 are the more slimmer cut compared to the classic 873 and the original 874 pant, which is the iconic fit that Dickies have produced for over 50 years. The newer 894 fit is more tailored to skateboarding, retaining the classic attributes of the 874 pant but with a button closure (also featured on the 803), not a clip/clasp style. The 894 Dickies pant also has a slight stretch to the material, which aids movement when skateboarding.
